These are just to name a few rooms that are available at the Anniversary Inn. Something to consider, each location does have similar rooms, however, they also have different rooms as well.

The prices vary depending on the room that you reserve. The Ruby Suites are $169 per night. The Emerald Suites are $219 per night. The Diamond Suites are $269 per night. During the week, the rooms are $20 less. They have a Romantic Rewards loyalty program, as well as running promotions throughout the year. They even will text you deals when they become available.

To make your stay even a little bit more special, they have a gift shop where you can order little extras for your stay. They have items such as champagne flutes adorned with the Anniversary Inn logo. You can even have them filled with chocolate Hershey Kisses. Speaking of chocolate, you can order a box of gourmet chocolate, chocolate covered strawberries or pretzels. If you want things that smell scrumptious, they have candles, essential oils, and bubble bath bombs. They also have a variety of gift packages, including a couple’s massage. 

If you like blogs, they have that, too! They have a blog that talks about a different room with pictures. It gives you a good idea about what each themed room looks like and its amenities.

Date Night in a Box Series #1- Unbox Love

Are you ever too busy to go on a date or even plan a date? It seems like we all have become so busy that sometimes we simply forget or don't have time to plan! Well, there are some great companies out there that are willing to do 100% of the work for you! Up First! Unbox Love My husband and I received the November box from this great company to try out! It came at a perfect time because I had just found out I was pregnant and was suffering from terrible morning sickness and did not feel like going out and spent many days in bed.
I opened the box prior to Ty coming home from work. I love that they provided me with Time Saving Tips and a recipe to try! Along with that, Unbox Love sent directions on just how to go about our date with 4 simple steps. They sent for His Eyes Only and Her Eyes only Cards as well, which you will use during the date on the Appreciation step!

It asked us to "pop" our snack and while we did this appreciate one another with various things that it told us to do in the directions. After this. we got to get competitive, who doesn't love a little competition? They sent us Tummple Time A challenging twist on Jenga. And Yes, we did have a little side competition going and I won! They encourage you to share using #unboxlove! After the game they give some wrapping up ideas.
Overall, we really loved our Unbox Love Date Box. It was so nice that everything was planned out for us and gave us ways to connect as well as ways to have some friendly competition. If you are a busy couple who needs a pre planned at home date this is a good company to go through.

04101 Beach Picnic

Picnics can be very romantic, but a beach picnic takes it to the next level. I recommend having the picnic at the Willard Beach on Beach St. in Portland.  I would also recommend having the picnic around sunset. Pack your dinner in a basket, don’t forget to bring your blanket!

To build up your relationship, you can prep a few things before hand. When you invite your date to the picnic, ask them to write down 10 of their favorite qualities about you. You do the same, about them. Bring the lists with you and share them over your picnic dinner.

04101 After Dinner Surprise

After dinner on a weekday, take your date out for gelato. Change up your dating routine from the weekend and treat yourself during the week. There is some spectacular gelato located right down by the wharf in Portland. Located at 434 Fore St. is one of the highest rated gelato spots. If you are watching what you eat, but you would still like to enjoy a sweet treat, feel free to split a scoop between the two of you. Grab your scoop of gelato and head down to the wharf to walk around and explore.  You never know what you can find when you have no agenda. Fore St. has some pretty cute shops to look at and if you happened to have “missed” dinner before you got gelato, there is a Five Guys burgers on Fore St as well.

If you don’t get treats often, when you do, it is really special to share between the two of you! 

04101 Wicked Walking Tours

Change up your usual date night and take a Wicked Walking Tour! The walking tour is the most unique, interesting and entertaining time you will have. You will get to tour some of Portland’s safest streets and discover parts of Portland you never knew about. If you are lucky, you might even spot a ghost!

The best tours are at night, however they do offer day tours also. The day tours last about an hour and the night tours last about 70 mins. It is recommended that you contact them in advance to see the tour times that are available, because they do fill up fast. The tours start at 72 Commercial St. in Portland.The tickets cost about $20 per person. If you do take a night tour, depending on the time of year, make sure you dress warm.

Make sure you hold hands if you get scared!

There is something special about splurging on a fancy dinner together. If you don’t eat out very often, it is a very nice change. You get to try new things that you would normally never make at home. On top of that, you get to get dressed up and looking nice for your significant other. With everyday life getting in the way, sometimes we never get to see each other looking our best, and it’s just fun to get dressed up and go out. Seeing each other look nice, might bring a little spark back into your relationship.

The Back Bay Grill is the number two restaurant (out of 431) in Portland, according to Tripadvisor. They offer American style food, fabulous steaks and a wide array of vegetarian options. Reservations may been to be made in advance to ensure a table. The phone number is

During your stay the The Chadwick, you have time to get closer to your spouse. Use this quality time to work on your communication. Really take inventory of your relationship. Talk about issues or problems that you have in your relationship. This will only be effective if it is done in a loving and caring environment. This has to be done with trust between the two of you. If this brings up any sort of argument, make sure you set some ground rules to ensure this will not happen. Use this time to rekindle that spark that you felt when you just met each other.
